AC Approves Over 800 New Posts in Key JK Departments
The Administrative Council, led by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, has taken a significant step towards strengthening the administrative and security frameworks of the state.
The Council has approved the creation of 83 posts in the Prosecution Department, aiming to enhance the efficiency of prosecution services.
This move includes the establishment of independent Deputy Director posts in each district, ensuring better management and oversight of prosecution services.
Additionally, the Council has approved 772 posts for the Government Railway Police (GRP), a crucial step towards bolstering railway security.
The expansion of the GRP will specifically focus on enhancing security between Katra and Banihal, a critical railway route.
The creation of these new posts follows the implementation of the Bhartiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (BNSS), a significant initiative towards improving public safety and security.
Furthermore, the Council has approved 30 posts for the State Election Commission, ensuring its proper functioning since its creation in 2020.
This comprehensive expansion across various departments is expected to significantly enhance judicial efficiency, public safety, and railway security, ultimately contributing to the overall development of the state.
