Kashmir receives Snowfall, Check confirmed Prediction from tomorrow

Srinagar, Jan 26 (WD):

Jammu and Kashmir witnesses light rain and snow, notably in higher areas like Gulmarg, ending an extended dry spell. The weather forecast anticipates more precipitation, with a potential impact on road closures in elevated regions.

The meteorological department issues an advisory, urging travelers to plan accordingly due to the present weather system. The 40-day harsh winter period, ‘Chillai-Kalan,’ is ongoing in the Kashmir valley until January 29, followed by ‘Chillai-Khurd’ and ‘Chillai-Bachha’ in the subsequent weeks.
