Apple growers in the region are equally elated, believing that the fresh snowfall will breathe new life into the horticulture sector. The dry weather over the past two months had raised concerns, but the recent forecast of snowfall brings optimism for better apple production this year.
December of the previous year witnessed a significant 79 percent deficit in rainfall, and January continued to be predominantly dry. These conditions raised concerns among farmers, tourism players, and environmentalists. However, the recent snowfall brings a positive shift in expectations for various sectors in Kashmir.
