Exciting WhatsApp Update: Audio Sharing Soon Available in Video Calls

WhatsApp, a widely used messaging app, is set to undergo a major update that will transform how users share audio and video messages. The ongoing update, reported by WABetaInfo, brings the capability for users to seamlessly collaborate through audio and video messages. While the feature is currently accessible on WhatsApp Beta for iOS, Android users can anticipate its availability in the near future.

This enhancement builds on WhatsApp’s August update, introducing screen sharing during video calls. Now, users not only share their screens but also their audio during video calls, making it perfect for watch parties where audio can be shared with others on a different call. It’s worth noting that this feature doesn’t apply to voice calls.

Simultaneously, Meta is testing a redesign for sharing statuses on WhatsApp to simplify the process for users. Furthermore, Meta aims to integrate other social media platforms with WhatsApp, with beta testers reporting glimpses of an update allowing the linking of Instagram accounts to WhatsApp accounts.

Speaking of linking, WhatsApp recently enabled users to link their accounts to up to four devices, even without internet access on the main device. Initially limited in functionality, linked accounts are set to gain the ability to perform tasks independently. The Android beta version 2.24.1.4 introduces the option for users to share status updates from a linked device, similar to updating from the main WhatsApp account.

It’s important to note that this feature is still in testing, and some users may experience issues when updating their status from a linked device. Patience is advised as WhatsApp refines this update for a smoother experience across all devices.
