Bus Driver, Conductor Bites Ear & Finger Of Passenger
In a shocking incident aboard a Uttar Pradesh Roadways bus, a dispute over seating arrangements escalated into a violent altercation, leaving a passenger, Kuldeep Kumar from Sidhauli, Sitapur, severely injured. The altercation occurred on Thursday, involving the bus driver, conductor, and their aides, who allegedly attacked Kumar, biting off a portion of his left hand’s little finger and part of his ear. Additionally, Kumar claimed to have lost his gold chain and Rs 19,600 in cash during the ordeal.
According to Kumar’s account, the confrontation began when the conductor instructed him to vacate his seat and move to another. When Kumar questioned the directive, tensions escalated, leading to a verbal exchange. This quickly spiraled into physical violence, with the driver and aides allegedly assaulting Kumar. The altercation reached a horrifying climax when one of the assailants bit off a portion of Kumar’s ear and his little finger.
The incident, which took place on bus number UT9813 en route to Biswan in Sitapur from Kaiserbagh bus station, highlights the alarming vulnerability of passengers on public transportation. SHO Dinesh Mishra of Wazirganj reported that both the driver, Sharan Mishra, and conductor, Mohammed Riyaz, have been apprehended in connection with the incident. Taking immediate action, UPSRTC has acknowledged the severity of the situation and issued a notice to the implicated duo.
