Woman Uses Gold Coin for Bus Fare in Kashmir, Realises Mistake later

Srinagar, Jan 24 (WD):

In Srinagar, an unusual incident unfolded as a woman mistakenly handed over a gold coin instead of bus fare during her journey from GB Pant to Radio Kashmir Gate on January 24.

Waheeda, a resident of Batmaloo, had intended to sell the coin to cover medical expenses for her brother-in-law. She only realized the error upon visiting a jeweler after disembarking near Radio Kashmir Gate.

The gold coin, which belonged to her sister, was inadvertently given to the bus conductor instead of a 10-rupee coin. Waheeda explained that her sister needed cash for her husband’s treatment at AIIMS Delhi.

In a heartfelt plea directed towards the bus conductor, Waheeda appeals for the return of the gold item on humanitarian grounds, providing contact details at 7006807001.
