Two Held in Separate Incidents of Rape, Child Molestation in JK
JAMMU: In two separate and alarming incidents, a woman was allegedly raped, and a five-year-old girl was molested, according to the police. Both incidents occurred in Jammu on May 12, leading to the arrest of two men.
The police reported that an FIR was filed under section 354 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and sections 7 and 8 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act at the R S Pura police station. This was based on a complaint of child molestation. Mukesh Kumar, also known as ‘Shalu’, a resident of Rangpur Mulanian, has been arrested in connection with this case and placed in police custody.

In another incident on the same day, a woman in the R S Pura area reported being raped. The accused, Satpal, a resident of Chohala, was arrested shortly after the complaint was filed.
