Three Residential Houses Devastated by Overnight Fire Tragedy in North Kashmir

In an unfortunate incident, three residential houses were engulfed in a massive blaze overnight in Dangiwacha Rafiabad, Baramulla. The fire, suspected to have originated from a domestic gas cylinder leakage, erupted in one of the houses, quickly spreading to adjacent properties.

Despite the prompt arrival of Fire and Emergency Services personnel along with local assistance, the inferno persisted for hours, ultimately gutting three residential structures – one double-storeyed and two single-storeyed.

The affected families, identified as Mohammad Kashif Peer, Tariq Ahmad Peer, and Naseer Ahmad Peer, faced significant loss as their homes were consumed by the relentless flames. The rescue operation, marked by the tireless efforts of firefighters and community members, managed to contain the fire’s spread, albeit after substantial damage had been inflicted.

Authorities are currently investigating the precise cause of the fire, with initial findings pointing towards a leakage from a domestic gas cylinder.

This incident serves as a grim reminder of the potential hazards associated with gas appliances, emphasizing the importance of vigilance and adherence to safety protocols to prevent such tragedies in the future.
