LG Sinha Applauds Women Entrepreneurs’ Innovation in Jammu Kashmir

In a notable gathering, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha participated in the ET Women Conclave-2024 hosted by The Times Group, held in Gurugram. During the event, he commended the prowess of Nari Shakti and acknowledged their pivotal role in the developmental journey of Naya Jammu Kashmir.

Emphasizing the emergence of women-led development initiatives in Jammu Kashmir, the Lt. Governor underscored the role of women entrepreneurs in catalyzing change at the grassroots level. He highlighted their remarkable contributions across various sectors such as Information Technology-enabled Services (ITeS), Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), the service sector, agro-based industries, and handicrafts.

The Lt. Governor reiterated the administration’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for the socio-economic empowerment of women. He celebrated the achievements of women across diverse fields, citing their exemplary performances in academics, sports, crafts, and entrepreneurship, which serve as a source of inspiration for others.

During his address at the ET Women Conclave 2024, the Lt. Governor also shed light on the educational programs spearheaded by universities and higher educational institutions in the Union Territory, with a focus on skill development and upskilling initiatives tailored for women. He reaffirmed the administration’s dedication to achieving gender equality in education as a primary objective.
