Shocking; Pregnant Woman Pushed Out by Sumo Driver in Srinagar Over Seating Dispute
Srinagar, Jan 20 (WD):
In Srinagar on January 20, a distressing incident unfolded involving a pregnant woman who faced adversity while traveling in a Sumo vehicle. The woman boarded the vehicle in Rainawari, bearing the registration number JK04-579. Trouble ensued when she confronted the driver for allowing four passengers in the middle row, exceeding the designated seating capacity.
Expressing concern about the overcrowding issue, the pregnant lady questioned the driver about the violation of seating regulations. In response, the driver displayed a shocking lack of empathy and, in an imperious manner, forcibly pushed her out of the moving vehicle through the window.
The victim recounted the incident, noting that the driver’s actions were particularly callous given her pregnancy. Despite her plea and objection, the driver insisted on allowing four passengers in the middle seat of the Sumo vehicle.
In the aftermath of the incident, the pregnant woman approached a traffic police officer to report the mistreatment she endured. The traffic police officer assured her that the matter would be thoroughly investigated, and appropriate legal action would be taken against the driver in accordance with the law.
This distressing event highlights the importance of addressing passenger safety and enforcing regulations to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future.
