Sanjay Sharma (KP) Murder case; SIA files chargesheet against 12 Accused

The State Investigation Agency (SIA) Kashmir has filed a comprehensive charge sheet against 12 individuals in connection with the murder of Kashmiri Pandit Sanjay Sharma. The case, initially registered at Police Station Litter Pulwama, was later transferred to SIA Kashmir for specialized investigation.
The crime occurred at Achhan Pulwama on February 26, 2023. “As per SIA, the investigation revealed a broader conspiracy originating from across the border, aiming to disrupt peace and communal harmony in the valley. The intent was to use the murder to fuel communal disharmony and sustain terrorism.”
Upon taking over the case, SIA Kashmir conducted extensive searches across South Kashmir, unearthing vital physical and technical evidence. This evidence exposed the accused persons’ involvement in providing logistical support, harboring the accused, and concealing evidence.
SIA conducted five rounds of extensive searches at 32 locations across the valley, resulting in the seizure of mobile devices, incriminating documents, including bank documents, and one pistol magazine, along with live cartridges. The investigation sheds light on a complex web of connections linked to the tragic incident.
