Police solves burglary case in Kulgam; Stolen property worth lacs recovered

The police in Kulgam have successfully solved a burglary case, arresting three accused individuals and recovering stolen property worth lacs.

The case began with a written complaint from Mohd Shabaan Naik, a resident of Badijahlan, DH Pora, reporting the theft of his livestock (five animals) during the night of June 30th/July 1st.

A case was registered at Police Station DH Pora under FIR No. 83/2024, and an investigation team was formed, headed by SHO Police Station DH Pora and supervised by SDPO DH Pora.

The team worked tirelessly, using all available means to identify the suspects, and soon zeroed in on three individuals: Imtiyaz Ahmad Malik, Zahoor Ahmad Ganie, and Mohd Ashraf Mir.

During questioning, the accused confessed to their involvement in the crime, leading to their arrest and the seizure of the vehicle used in the crime, bearing registration no JK22-0598.

The stolen property was recovered based on the accused’s disclosures, and further investigation is ongoing, with more recoveries expected.

The police’s swift action and diligent efforts have resulted in the successful resolution of the case, and the recovery of valuable stolen property.
