One Dead, Four Injured in J&K Road Accident
March 8 (WD) In Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district, a tragic road accident occurred on Thursday evening, resulting in one fatality and four injuries, according to officials.
The incident took place in Shindhara village when a pickup van veered off the road and plunged into a gorge.
Prompt action was taken to evacuate the injured individuals to the district hospital in Poonch for further medical attention.
Dr. Nusrat Bhatti, Superintendent of the District Hospital Poonch, informed the media that four injured persons were admitted to the hospital. Among them, one individual with severe chest trauma was referred to Government Medical College Rajouri for advanced treatment.
Additionally, the district administration provided financial assistance, offering Rs 5,000 to each injured person and Rs 10,000 to the family of the deceased as immediate relief.
