J-K Police uncover cross-border terror plot, detain 5 in Kupwara.

In a significant operation, Jammu and Kashmir Police dismantle a cross-border terror network in Karnah, Kupwara, arresting five individuals engaged in illicit weapons trafficking.

Acting on reliable intelligence, including 09 PARA Field Regiment, Kupwara Police intercept a terror module facilitating arms and ammunition smuggling orchestrated by LeT operatives in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

Detained suspect Zahoor Ahmad Bhat, resident of Rear Sudhpora Karnah, found with significant contraband, including AK Rifle, pistol, magazines, and rounds allegedly dispatched by handlers from across the border.

Further investigations reveal the involvement of four additional terror associates, all residents of Gabra, Karnah, possessing multiple AK Rifles and associated ammunition.

The police statement underscores ongoing efforts to thoroughly investigate the matter, ensuring comprehensive action against those involved in the conspiracy.(WD)
