J&K Govt tells departments to settle pending SR0-43 cases.‘Don’t refer cases to GAD which lie within competence of Department/HoD.

Jammu, Dec 19 (WD News):

The Jammu & Kashmir government has directed its departments to promptly resolve pending cases regarding compassionate appointments under SRO-43. The focus is on settling these cases at the department or head of department level, without involving the General Administration Department (GAD), for matters within their competence.

This directive specifically applies to cases where no relaxation in age or qualification is needed, and there are suitable positions available. Departments are now required to submit compliance reports every two weeks to the GAD, providing details on the number of cases successfully settled.

It’s important to note that SRO-43 previously dealt with providing government jobs to the families affected by militancy or border incidents. However, a new policy has been in effect since January 1, 2023, replacing SRO-43.
