J&K Govt Announces New School Timings for Kashmir Division
The Government of Jammu & Kashmir has issued an official order, bearing number 126-DSEK OF 2024, announcing a change in school timings across the Kashmir Division. Effective from April 12, 2024, both Government and Recognized Private Schools will adhere to the revised schedule.
For schools located within the Srinagar Municipal limits, classes will commence at 9:00 am and conclude at 3:00 pm. However, institutions situated outside the municipal limits of Srinagar District and other areas within the Kashmir Province will operate from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
This adjustment aims to streamline the educational framework and optimize learning hours for students across different regions within the Kashmir Division. The directive emphasizes strict compliance with the stipulated timings, with any deviations viewed seriously by the authorities.
The decision reflects a strategic effort by the Directorate of School Education Kashmir to ensure uniformity and efficiency in educational practices. By standardizing school timings, the administration aims to enhance the overall academic experience and facilitate better coordination among stakeholders.
This alteration in school hours is expected to accommodate various logistical and geographical factors prevalent in different areas of the Kashmir Division. It is a proactive measure by the government to adapt to the evolving needs of the education sector and prioritize the well-being of students and educators alike.
Parents, students, and educational institutions are urged to familiarize themselves with the revised timings and make necessary arrangements to adhere to the prescribed schedule. The Directorate of School Education Kashmir remains committed to fostering a conducive learning environment conducive to the holistic development of students across the region.
