Avalanche Warning Issued for Five Districts in Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar, March 4, (WD) The Jammu and Kashmir Disaster Management Authority has issued a medium-danger level avalanche warning for five districts in the region.

According to the advisory avalanches with a medium-danger level are likely to occur above 2200 meters in Kishtwar, Kupwara, Bandipora, and Baramulla districts within the next 24 hours.

Additionally, a further avalanche with a high-danger level is anticipated above 2200 meters in Ganderbal district within the same timeframe.

Residents in these areas are strongly advised to exercise caution and refrain from venturing into avalanche-prone areas until further notice.
