Geyser Explosion in Central Kashmir Father Died Wife and Minor Son Injured

Budgam, May 22 (WD): A tragic incident occurred in Budgam district of central Kashmir on Wednesday morning when a geyser explosion resulted in the death of a man and injuries to two other family members, including a minor son.

According to official sources, three members of the same family were injured in the blast that took place in the Narkara area of Budgam. The injured were immediately transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Despite medical efforts, one of the family members, identified as Manzoor Ahmad Dar, son of Abdul Gani Dar from Bada Mohalla Narkara, succumbed to his burn injuries at the hospital.

The two other injured family members have been identified as Zahida Begum, the wife of Manzoor Ahmad Dar, and their minor son, Ali Mohammad. Their current medical condition is not yet known.

A police officer informed news agency Kashmir Scroll that a case has been registered in connection with the incident, and further investigation is underway to determine the cause of the explosion.

The community in Narkara has been deeply affected by this tragedy, as neighbors and friends of the Dar family express their condolences and support during this difficult time.

Authorities are also looking into safety measures to prevent such accidents in the future, emphasizing the importance of regular maintenance and proper installation of household appliances like geysers.

This tragic event serves as a grim reminder of the potential dangers posed by common household appliances and underscores the need for vigilance and adherence to safety protocols.
