Encounter Update, Two Militants Killed, Huge Arm’s & Ammunition Recovered
Two foreign terrorists were killed in an encounter in the Keran area of Kupwara district on Thursday, July 18.
The encounter began when alert troops observed movement through thick foliage on their side of the Line of Control (LoC) at approximately 12:30 pm.
The infiltrating terrorists were challenged, and they opened fire, leading to an intense firefight.
The Indian Army successfully neutralized the two foreign terrorists, recovering a huge quantity of arms and ammunition.
Among the recovered items was a Pakistani identity card, indicating the terrorists’ foreign origins.
This operation is a testament to the close synergy between the Indian Army, BSF, and JKP, who have been working together to maintain peace in the Kashmir Valley.
