Encounter Update, Four Injured Soldiers Succumbed, Ops On

Four soldiers who were injured during a gunfight between terrorists and security forces at Desa forest area in Doda district, Jammu division, have succumbed to their injuries.

The encounter began on Monday evening, and five security personnel, including a policeman, were injured in the initial exchange of fire.

The injured soldiers were hospitalized, but unfortunately, four of them, including an officer, succumbed to their injuries. The policeman is still being treated.

The operation was launched based on specific input about the presence of terrorists in the area. When the joint team of forces approached, the terrorists opened fire, which was heavily retaliated.

Additional forces have been rushed to the spot, and a search operation is still ongoing in the area.

The encounter is a testament to the bravery and sacrifice of our security personnel who risk their lives to protect the nation.
