Big Update Regarding Changes in School Timing

Srinagar, May 29: The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) announced on Wednesday that there are no current plans to change school timings in the Kashmir Valley. This decision comes as a result of the current pleasant weather conditions in the region.

Director School Education Kashmir, Tasaduq Hussain, confirmed that the weather remains favorable, with temperatures around 32 degrees Celsius. He emphasized that under these conditions, there is no need to alter the existing school schedules.

Hussain reiterated the importance of maintaining regular school hours to ensure that students’ education is not disrupted. He stated, “We have to teach our children and make them weather-resistant,” highlighting the need for students to adapt to different weather conditions.

The Director assured that the administration is closely monitoring the weather conditions. He stated that should the weather situation change significantly, the administration is prepared to reassess and adjust the school timings accordingly.

He added, “When extraordinary weather conditions arise, the administration will take a call on change in school timings accordingly.” This statement underscores the administration’s commitment to student welfare and readiness to act if necessary.

Despite some concerns from parents and students about the heat, the current weather is deemed manageable for regular school activities. The administration believes that continuing with the current schedule is in the best interest of the students.

Hussain also pointed out that making students resilient to varying weather conditions is part of their overall education. By not altering the school timings for minor weather fluctuations, students learn to adapt and cope with different environments.

In conclusion, while the DSEK acknowledges the potential for weather-related challenges, the current decision is to maintain the existing school schedule, ensuring that education continues smoothly unless severe weather necessitates a change.
