Big News: SRO-43 Cases in J&K, Govt. Writes to DCs for Verification

Jammu, Dec 23 (WD):

Government of Jammu and Kashmir Calls for Verification Protocols for Compassionate Appointments under SRO 43.

In a significant move, the General Administration Department of Jammu and Kashmir has issued a notice outlining enhanced measures for the verification of character and antecedents of applicants seeking compassionate appointments under SRO-43 of 1994.

The candidates, as listed in the Annexure to the notice, have been directed to submit their e-mail IDs and contact details promptly. This submission must occur either in the office of the respective Deputy Commissioners or in the Cabinet Section of the General Administration Department, Civil Secretariat in Srinagar/Jammu, within a strict period of twenty-one days.

Failure to comply with this directive will result in the forfeiture of the right to appointment under the Compassionate Appointment Rules.

The notice also instructs Deputy Commissioners to facilitate the completion of e-verification rolls by conducting special camps in their offices. Once completed, these rolls will be forwarded to the Criminal Investigation Department, J&K, for thorough scrutiny.

Reports received by the office of Deputy Commissioners are to be further forwarded to the General Administration Department via email (ikeadsrosi@emailcom).

In a notable addition, Deputy Commissioners are urged to provide the latest marital status of female applicants during the verification process, aiming for a more comprehensive assessment.
