Back to Learning: Schools in Kashmir Resume After Extended Winter Break
March 4 (WD) Today marks the reopening of schools across the Kashmir division following an extended winter break due to heavy snowfall.
Students from classes up to 8th standard enjoyed a winter vacation since November 28 last year, while classes 9th to 12th began their break from December 11.
Both government and private schools are eager to resume regular classes and continue the education of their students despite the delay.
Reports from News Agency Wattan daily indicate that students from all districts in Kashmir were seen heading towards their respective educational institutions, expressing great joy and excitement for their first day after the winter vacations.
Saika Jan, a student from a private school, expressed her delight, stating, “I am delighted that we are back to school. It was tedious to stay at home for such a prolonged period.”
Another student, Sehrish, shared her happiness upon reuniting with her friends, saying, “After a gap of three months, I have returned to school. I have missed my teachers and friends. I feel immensely joyful to finally meet them after such a long duration.”
