16 Teachers Went Missing After Their Deployment on Election Duty
In a concerning development in Rajouri, sixteen employees from the School Education Department have gone missing after being deployed for election duty. Despite orders from the Deputy Commissioner (DC), these educators failed to report for duty and have remained absent without permission.
Two Lecturers, one Master, and thirteen Teachers were assigned to the Election Cell at the DC office in Rajouri. However, they did not fulfill their duty obligations and did not provide any explanation for their absence. Even after being relieved from the Election Cell, they failed to return to their respective schools for routine duties.
Taking cognizance of the situation, Electoral Registration Officer and ACR Rajouri, Jahangir Ahmed Khan, instructed the erring officials to return to their schools. Nevertheless, the missing educators did not comply with the directive, raising further concerns.
CEO Rajouri, Mushtaq Ahmed, following the DC’s instructions, issued a show cause notice to all sixteen missing officials. They are required to submit a satisfactory explanation within two days, failing which legal action will be pursued.
Among the missing are notable educators such as Lecturer Higher Secondary School Pidi Naheem Fatima, Master High School Dhara Sanwala Sajid Iqbal, and others from various educational institutions in the region.
The absence of these educators not only disrupts the election duties but also affects the education of students in their respective schools. The community is urged to cooperate with authorities to locate the missing personnel.
Authorities emphasize the urgency of the situation and urge the missing educators to promptly respond to the show cause notice. The search for the missing personnel continues, and any information regarding their whereabouts is encouraged to be reported to the relevant authorities without delay.
