154 Government employees sacked over anti-national activities: Manoj Sinha

In Srinagar on February 11, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha announced the removal of 154 government employees involved in terror activities, affirming continued action against such individuals.

Addressing the ET Now Global Business Summit 2024, Sinha reiterated the dismissal of 154 government employees linked to terrorism, vowing to persist in similar actions. Blaming Article 370 for fostering terrorism and separatism in Jammu and Kashmir, he criticized past administrations for destabilizing the region. Sinha highlighted the shift from stone pelting and strikes instigated by Pakistan to a scenario where youth proudly display the national flag.

He emphasized the positive changes attributed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, particularly the abrogation of Article 370. Sinha noted the disappearance of stone pelting and Pakistan-supported strikes, replaced by a burgeoning nightlife and the reopening of cinema halls in Jammu and Kashmir after three decades. He reaffirmed his administration’s stance against supporters of Pakistan, prioritizing the restoration of law and order in the region.
