President Droupadi Murmu commended the remarkable development in Jammu and Kashmir post the abrogation of Article 370. Addressing a youth delegation, she stressed the collaborative efforts between the Central government and local administration for the region’s progress.
Despite facing challenges from vested interests, President Murmu expressed optimism that Jammu and Kashmir could become a symbol of progress in India. This hope stems from substantial investments in infrastructure, technology, and education.
Emphasizing the strength found in unity, Murmu spoke about the ‘Watan ko Jano’ program, designed to create awareness about India’s diverse culture, art, and development work. She stressed the importance of effective delivery and transparency, expressing satisfaction with over 1,100 government services going online for public convenience.
