IGNOU Launches Re-Registration Portal for January 2024 Semester

In a recent announcement, the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has activated its re-registration portal for the upcoming January 2024 semester. Prospective candidates can complete the re-registration process for the next academic year without incurring any late fees by accessing the official website at [ignou.ac.in](https://ignou.ac.in) until January 29, 2024.

To initiate the re-registration process, candidates must first register on the IGNOU portal. By clicking on the ‘New Registration’ link on the homepage and providing their mobile number and email ID, candidates will receive essential updates and confirmations from IGNOU. Once registered, individuals can log in using their username and password.

Should any difficulties arise during the registration process, candidates are encouraged to contact their respective regional centers for assistance with account resetting or updating contact information, as stated by IGNOU.

The university strongly advises students to carefully select their courses and thoroughly review the program guide for course details. Changing courses at a later stage may result in a loss of valuable study time, and students are urged to exercise caution during online transactions.

For fee payments, students can use credit or debit cards, UPI, including the BHIM App. International division students have access to various online payment options. The university emphasizes not waiting until the last date for re-registration submission and recommends immediate payment resolution in case of any issues.

In instances where online payments are not promptly updated, students are advised to wait for a day, check the payment status, and then proceed with the second payment. IGNOU assures that any accidental double payments will be promptly refunded to the respective accounts.

For candidates utilizing third-party services (such as cybercafés or other outlets) for re-registration submission, it is crucial to verify the correct selection of courses and successful program fee payment. Additionally, obtaining a printout of the submitted form and payment confirmation is highly recommended.
