JKSSB Declares J.E R&B Result, Calls for objections within 3 days

The Government of Jammu and Kashmir, through the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board, has released a Provisional Selection List for the position of Junior Engineer (Mechanical) in the Public Works (R&B) Department, UT Cadre. This notification follows the advertisement under Item No. 202, dated 11.11.2022.
The Public Works (R&B) Department had referred 190 posts of Junior Engineer (Mechanical) to the J&K Services Selection Board. These posts were advertised with a category-wise breakdown for different cadres. The required qualification for selection against these posts includes a 3-year diploma in Mechanical Engineering or an Indian university degree in Mechanical Engineering.
A Written Examination for these positions was conducted on 01.10.2023, and based on the candidates’ performance, the Board published the Result Score-sheet. Candidates falling within the consideration zone were called for Document Verification in both Jammu and Srinagar from 17.10.2023 to 20.10.2023, followed by supplemental DV on 25.10.2023.
A Selection Committee was constituted to prepare the Provisional Selection List, and after careful scrutiny, the list was approved by the Board in its 247th meeting. The Provisional Selection List is subject to the outcome of any pending writ petitions or applications before a competent court of law and any ongoing inquiries involving candidates from the list.
Candidates have the opportunity to raise objections within three days from the date of this notification through the provided email address. The Provisional Selection List is subject to change based on merit and objections received, and it does not confer final selection rights, which will be notified later.
