Yami Gautam’s ‘Article 370’ Thriller Faces Gulf Ban, Report

Srinagar, Feb 26 (WD) Yami Gautam’s Film ‘Article 370’ Banned in Gulf Countries

Mumbai, February 26: Yami Gautam’s action political thriller ‘Article 370’ has faced a ban in Gulf countries, despite its success domestically and overseas.

The ban deprives audiences in the Gulf of experiencing this acclaimed Indian cinematic offering, which explores universal human experiences within a complex socio-political landscape.

While the Gulf region hosts Indian film productions and has a thriving tourism industry, the absence of ‘Article 370’ highlights a concerning trend of censorship and limited cultural exchange.

Earlier, Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone’s film ‘Fighter’ also faced a similar fate in Gulf countries except UAE.

Yami Gautam plays an intelligence officer in ‘Article 370,’ set in the valley amidst the removal of special status to Jammu and Kashmir under Article 370.

The film garnered attention after Prime Minister Narendra Modi mentioned it in a speech, expressing hope that it would provide correct information on the subject.

Directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale, the film also stars Priyamani, Arun Govil, and Kiran Karmarkar.
