Weather Update, Rain, Thunderstorm Expected in Valley From

On 29th May, there is a possibility of thundershower activity at isolated places across Jammu and Kashmir. Residents should be prepared for sudden weather changes and take necessary precautions if planning outdoor activities.

From 30th to 31st May, the weather is expected to be partly to generally cloudy with light rain or thunder at isolated places. This change might bring some relief to the ongoing heat conditions, especially in the Kashmir Division and some hilly areas of the Jammu Division.

Between 1st and 2nd June, the forecast continues to indicate partly to generally cloudy skies with light rain or thunder at isolated places. This period will also provide a slight respite from the prevailing heat wave in certain areas.

The weather is expected to be generally dry on 3rd and 4th June. This break in precipitation could lead to another increase in temperature, particularly affecting those in the Kashmir Division.

From 5th to 7th June, the forecast predicts generally cloudy conditions with light rain or thunder at scattered places. This could help in moderating temperatures and providing some relief from the heat.

The plains of the Jammu Division will continue to experience hot and dry weather conditions over the next seven days, with no significant relief in sight. This prolonged heat wave necessitates precautions to prevent heat-related illnesses.

A slight relief from the heat wave is expected during 30-31 May and 1-2 June for most parts of the Kashmir Division and a few hilly areas of the Jammu Division. This temporary relief will be a welcome change for residents who have been enduring the high temperatures.

Another spell of the heat wave is anticipated during 3-4 June in the Kashmir Division. It is advised to avoid heat exposure, particularly between 12 noon and 3 PM, and to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids, especially for vulnerable populations such as the elderly, infants, and children.
