Residents of Jammu and Kashmir are advised to prepare for inclement weather conditions as two consecutive Western Disturbances are set to bring rain and snow to the region. Beginning tonight and lasting until March 31, light to moderate precipitation is expected across various districts.

March 27 Evening to March 28 Morning:
Parts of the Kashmir valley, Ramban, Kishtwar, and Doda districts may experience light rain or snowfall. Travelers are urged to exercise caution on the roads due to potentially slippery conditions.

March 28:
Cloudy skies are anticipated throughout the day, with the possibility of light rain or snow in select areas, particularly towards the evening hours. Commuters should plan accordingly and stay updated on weather advisories.

March 29:
Light to moderate rain and snowfall are forecasted across the Kashmir Valley and certain parts of the Jammu region. While major activity is not expected in Jammu, Samba, and Kathua districts, residents are advised to remain vigilant.

March 30 & 31:
Both Jammu and Kashmir are likely to experience light to moderate rain and snow, with the potential for heavy downpours intermittently. Travelers are advised to exercise caution, as there may be disruptions to transportation routes.

Note:
Elevated areas such as Sadhna Top, Razdan Top, Sinthan Pass, and Zojila Pass could see significant snow accumulation, with over 6 inches possible. Additionally, the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway may be susceptible to shooting stones and landslides, impacting travel.

Residents are urged to stay informed through official weather updates and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety during this period of adverse weather.
