Traffic Advisory – Jammu & Kashmir
TRAFFIC POLICE HEADQUARTERS, J&K, JAMMU/SRINAGAR
- Passengers and LMV operators are advised to choose day travel on Jammu-Srinagar NHW, avoiding night journeys due to potential shooting stones between Ramban and Banihal.
- HMV operators/owners, please refrain from overloading, ensure sufficient fuel, and double-check vehicle fitness before Jammu-Srinagar NHW journeys.
- HMVs with only 06 and 10 tyres permitted on Dhar road.
TRAFFIC PLAN & ADVISORY FOR 20-01-2024:-
Subject to favorable weather and road clearance (NHAI green signal), LMVs, Passenger/Private Cars, HMVs, and Load Carriers allowed on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) both ways. Follow lane discipline.
SFs Convoy Movement:
Security Forces vehicles allowed on Jammu-Srinagar NHW (NH-44) both ways under good weather and road conditions.
SSG ROAD
Vehicular movement on Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumari road allowed both ways. LMVs and HMVs scheduled between 0830-1100 hrs (Minamarg to Srinagar) and 1230-1530 hrs (Sonamarg to Kargil). No vehicles allowed after cut-off timings. SFs Convoys to plan movements without disturbing Civil Traffic.
Mughal Road:
Tomorrow, subject to good weather and road conditions, vehicular movement on Mughal road allowed both ways (Poonch to Shopian and vice versa) between 1000-1500 hrs from Behramgalla (Buffliaz) and Herpora (Shopian) after road agencies’ green signal.
