Cold Spell Grips South Kashmir: Season’s Coldest Night
Temperature Plummet Across the Region
Several areas in South Kashmir experienced the coldest night of the season on Tuesday as temperatures dropped significantly.
Return of Sub-Zero Temperatures
After a temporary rise in night temperatures following snowfall, sub-zero temperatures have once again been recorded at all stations in the region.
Coldest Records in Qazigund and Pahalgam
Qazigund and Pahalgam in South Kashmir marked the season’s lowest temperatures at minus 4.2 degrees Celsius and 6.9 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Srinagar’s Chilly Night
Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, witnessed a low of minus 3.7 degrees Celsius.
Gulmarg’s Frigid Conditions
Gulmarg, renowned as a ski resort, reported a low of minus 6.6 degrees Celsius.
Other Areas Facing Cold Snap
In Kupwara, the mercury settled at minus 3.8 degrees Celsius, while Kokernag recorded a low of minus 3.1 degrees Celsius.
