Weather Update J&K: August 6, 2024
Significant rainfall has been recorded in various parts of Jammu and Kashmir over the last 24 hours. Kathua Burmal ARG received the highest rainfall of 117.5 mm.
Udhampur received 101.6 mm of rainfall, followed by Reasi with 45.5 mm, Jammu AWS with 48.2 mm, and Samba with 30 mm.
Brief spells of rain/thundershower are expected at few places during the day on August 6-7. Spells of light to moderate rain/thundershower are expected at many places of J&K towards late night/early morning.
Brief showers are expected during the daytime on August 8-10. A spell of rain/thundershower is expected at scattered places, mainly during late night/early morning.
A brief spell of rain/thundershower is expected at scattered places of Kashmir Division on August 11-13. Fairly widespread rain/thundershower is expected at many places of Jammu Division.
Intense showers for a brief period may lead to flash floods, landslides, mudslides, and shooting stones over vulnerable places of J&K. Heavy rainfall is expected at few places of J&K during the next two days.
