“Jammu and Kashmir Weather Forecast: Rain and Thundershowers Expected from July 10-17”
The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has issued a weather forecast for Jammu and Kashmir, predicting rain and thundershowers in various regions from July 10 to July 17.
From July 10 to 11, there is a possibility of rain and thundershowers at many places in Jammu Division and scattered places in Kashmir Division. During this time, residents can expect occasional heavy downpours and thunderstorms.
A spell of light to moderate rain and thundershowers is expected at scattered to fairly widespread places in Jammu Division from July 12 to 13, with heavy rain predicted at isolated places on July 12. This may lead to flash flooding and landslides in vulnerable areas.
From July 14 to 15, a brief spell of rain and thundershowers is expected at scattered places, with the intensity of the rain decreasing significantly.
From July 16 to 17, only isolated places are expected to receive brief spells of rain and thundershowers, marking the end of the wet spell.
The Meteorological Centre has issued an advisory warning of flash floods, landslides/mudslides, and shooting stones at a few vulnerable places during July 11-13. Additionally, low-lying areas in Jammu Division may experience temporary water logging conditions.
