Srinagar:
Jammu and Kashmir, on 27 Dec, continued to be in the grip of chilled weather conditions amidst dry weather. Srinagar recorded a chilly -2.6°C in the early hours, signaling a cool day ahead with daytime temperatures expected between 08-12°C. Residents are advised to take necessary precautions as the region braces for the approaching Western disturbance.

Qazigund, Kupwara, Pahalgam:
Minimum temperatures in various parts of Kashmir have significantly dropped. Qazigund registered -3.2°C, Kupwara -4.2°C, and Pahalgam -4.6°C. As the cold intensifies, residents in these areas are urged to prepare for the winter conditions and the anticipated Western disturbance from December 30.

Shopian, Ganderbal, Anantnag:
In Shopian, temperatures plunged to -5.2°C, Ganderbal -5.4°C, and Anantnag -4.6°C. The more pronounced cold calls for heightened awareness among residents to ensure their well-being during these frigid temperatures.

Kulgam, Pulwama, Baramulla:
Kulgam experienced -1.9°C, Pulwama -4.5°C, and Baramulla -2.4°C. The need for adequate preparations and precautions becomes crucial as the mercury continues to drop, affecting daily life in these regions.

Budgam, Bandipora:
Budgam recorded -4.9°C, and Bandipora -4.6°C, indicating the prevailing cold spell in these areas. Residents are advised to stay vigilant and take necessary measures to cope with the harsh weather conditions.

As per the latest forecast from Kashmir Weather Forecast, the dry weather and thick fog are expected to persist in Jammu and Kashmir until 31st Dec. A fresh weak Western disturbance is anticipated to influence the region from December 30, emphasizing the importance of preparedness and caution among the residents-(WD)
