Kashmir Cyber Police Cracks Down on Money-Doubling Scam; FIR Filed Against ‘Curative Survey Private Limited’

The Cyber Police in Kashmir has initiated legal action against the alleged fraudulent company named ‘Curative Survey Private Limited.’ The company, accused of a money-doubling scam, deceived investors in Jammu and Kashmir with false promises of significant returns. Investors, who initially received returns, later faced silence from the company, leading to suspicions and protests.
An FIR has been filed, revealing that the bogus company targeted students and housewives, exploiting their trust to invest in fake promises. Subsequently, the company became unresponsive, causing chaos and protests. The FIR, citing offenses under U/S 66D IT Act & 420 IPC, has led to the registration of case FIR No. 39/2023.
The Cyber Police, accompanied by a magistrate, has sealed the company’s office in Karanagar, Srinagar. Recent raids at five locations related to the scam resulted in the seizure of electronic gadgets and documents. The total amount invested in this widespread financial fraud is still under investigation. The police assure thorough investigations, emphasizing stern action against the accused individuals.
