The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the recruitment of Sub-Inspectors in the Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) for the year 2024. Interested candidates can apply online through the official website of SSC, https://ssc.gov.in. The registration process commenced on March 4th.
A total of 4187 vacancies are available, including 125 posts for Sub-Inspector (Exe.) in Delhi Police-Male, 61 posts for Sub-Inspector (Exe.) in Delhi Police-Female, and 4001 posts for Sub-Inspector (GD) in CAPFs. To be eligible, candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or equivalent.
The salary for Sub-Inspectors in CAPFs is at Level-6 with a pay scale of Rs.35,400-Rs.1,12,400/-, classified as Group ‘B’ (Non-Gazetted), Non-Ministerial. Sub-Inspectors in Delhi Police receive the same pay scale but are classified as Group ‘C’ by Delhi Police.
Candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 100, except for women candidates and those belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Ex-Servicemen categories, who are exempted from the fee.
Important dates for the application process include the start date for submission of online applications on March 4th and the last date for receipt of online applications on March 28th, 2024 (2300 hours). The window for application form correction is from March 30th to March 31st, 2024 (2300 hours). The computer-based examination is scheduled for May 9th, 10th, and 13th, 2024.
To apply, candidates must visit the official SSC website, click on the apply link, and complete the registration process, including filling out the One Time Registration (OTR) form. They should provide personal, professional, and basic information accurately and upload scanned copies of their photo, signature, and certificate.
