The vacancy details for the Indian Railways Recruitment Notification 02/2024 are as follows:
Technician Grade I: This category offers 1092 positions. Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics, Electronics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Instrumentation from a recognized University/Institute. Alternatively, candidates with a B.Sc. degree in a combination of any sub-streams of the aforementioned disciplines or those with a three-year Diploma in Engineering in the mentioned streams are eligible. The age limit for applicants is set between 18 to 36 years as of July 1, 2024. The selected candidates will be placed in Level 5 with an initial pay of Rs. 29,200/-.
Technician Grade III: This category has 8052 openings and requires candidates with an ITI (Industrial Training Institute) qualification in the related trade. The age limit for applicants in this category is between 18 to 33 years as of July 1, 2024. Selected candidates will be placed in Level 2 with an initial pay of Rs. 19,900/-.
Application Fee: Candidates need to pay an application fee of Rs. 500/-. However, candidates belonging to SC/ST/Ex-Serviceman/PWDs/Female/Transgender/Minorities/Economically Backward Class categories are required to pay Rs. 250/-. The application fee payment can be made online via internet banking, debit/credit cards, or UPI.
