JKSSB Releases Detailed Syllabus for Supervisor Exam 2024 with 201 Vacancies
Srinagar, January 7, 2024: The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has unveiled the syllabus for the upcoming written examination for the Supervisor position in the Social Welfare Department.
According to a notice dated January 7, 2024, JKSSB has provided an in-depth breakdown of syllabus topics outlined in Annexure A, building on the earlier advertisement notification no. 02/2023 released on December 8, 2023.
The objective-type written test, scheduled for 120 minutes, will assess candidates on numerical aptitude, reasoning skills, general awareness, and subject knowledge, carrying a total of 120 marks.
Key subjects include General Intelligence & Reasoning, General English & Comprehension, General Awareness, General Science & Computer Applications, Sports General Knowledge, and topics related to Social Welfare.
Highlighted areas within the syllabus encompass:
- General English: Reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary
- Reasoning: Analytical reasoning, coding-decoding, syllogism, sequences
- Awareness: Current affairs, history, geography, J&K polity
- Science: Environment, pollution, computers, cyber security
- Social Welfare: Child rights, women empowerment, health programs
The subject syllabus delves into social institutions, anxiety disorders, food hygiene, maternal & child healthcare, Poshan Abhiyan, old age benefits, among other relevant topics.
JKSSB has attached the comprehensive syllabus with a breakdown of marks allocated to each topic, guiding all candidates preparing for the exam. The notice emphasizes the importance of preparing in line with the prescribed syllabus, with experts recommending a focus on current affairs and a clear understanding of social welfare schemes and policies.
