Board Releases Withheld Recommendations for Sub-Inspector, Commercial Taxes Post
The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has announced the release of the selection list for the post of “Sub-Inspector, Commercial Taxes” within the State Taxes Department (Finance Department). This pertains to Divisional Cadre, Kashmir, as advertised in Notification No. 03 of 2020 dated 01.12.2020, under Item No. 021 and falls under the Prime Minister’s Special Package for Kashmiri Migrants & Non-Migrant Kashmiri Pandits.
In correspondence with the office letter No. SSB/Sel/Secy/M/02/2021/6307-13 dated 23.09.2021, the Final Selection List had been forwarded to the concerned department for further action. Notably, candidate Shalin Koul, listed at Sr. No. 11/EWS, had his recommendation withheld pending the submission of a Migrant Certificate. Subsequently, Mr. Koul provided the required documentation.
To ensure the authenticity of the Migrant Certificate, the Board sought clarification from the office of Relief & Rehabilitation Commissioner (Migrants), J&K. This clarification, received through letter No. RRCM/Estt/2023-24/935 dated 10.11.2023, confirms the legitimacy of the certificate issued in favor of Shalin Koul.
The Board, therefore, directs the release of the recommendation in favor of Mr. Shalin Koul for Sr. No. 11/EWS in the Selection List for the post of Sub-Inspector, Commercial Taxes, State Taxes (Finance Department), Divisional Cadre, Kashmir (Item No. 021). This action aligns with the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s Special Package for Kashmiri Migrants & Non-Migrant Kashmiri Pandits. All other terms and conditions outlined in letter No. SSB/Sel/Secy/M/02/2021/6307-13 dated 23.09.2021, remain unchanged.
