JKSSB Announces Final Selections for Junior Assistant and Computer Operator Positions
In a significant development, the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has released the final selection list for the coveted positions of Junior Assistant and Junior Assistant-cum-Computer Operator within the Department of Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation, and Reconstruction. These positions were initially advertised through Notification No. 01 of 2022, dated 27.01.2022, under Item Nos. 001-017.
The journey to these appointments began when the Department of Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation, and Reconstruction forwarded the requisition for direct recruitment to 89 such positions, as detailed in Indent No. DMRRR-MR/86/2021 dated 18.11.2021. Subsequently, JKSSB opened applications through Notification No. 01 of 2022, inviting eligible candidates to apply, with the cut-off date for online applications set at 10.03.2022.
The recruitment process involved a method wherein 80% weightage was assigned to candidates’ performance in the OMR Test, while the Skill/Type Test held 20% weightage.
Following the meticulous evaluation, the Skill Test/Type Test (computer-based) took place from 09.02.2023 to 11.02.2023, and the results were announced via Notification No. JKSSB-COEOEXAM(UT)23/2023-03(7124203) on 23.02.2023. Subsequently, the OMR Based Written Examination results were declared through Notification No. JKSSB-COEOEXAM/(UT)/65/2023-04 (7263889) on 04.10.2023.
To ensure transparency and fairness, JKSSB scheduled the submission of offline preferences and Document Verification (DV) for candidates in the consideration zone, as communicated in Notification No. JKSSB-COEOEXAM(UT)/65/2023-04(7263889) dated 07.10.2023 and Supplementary Document Verification vide Notification No. COEOEXAM(UT)/65/2023-04(7263889) dated 13.10.2023.
The final step in this comprehensive process involved the constitution of a Selection Committee by JKSSB, as per Office Order No. 228-SSB of 2023 dated 13.10.2023. This committee was tasked with preparing the Selection List for the 89 posts of Junior Assistant/Junior Assistant-cum-Computer Operator, bringing the recruitment journey to its successful conclusion.
