JKPSC Announces Results for Medical Officer Written Test

The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) has released the results of the written test conducted for filling up the posts of Medical Officer in the Health & Medical Education Department. The written test took place on 17.03.2024, and the performance of the candidates has been evaluated based on their performance in this examination. The result of the written test has been annexed as Annexure-A to Notification No. PSC/Exam/S/2024/10 dated 03.04.2024.

In accordance with the J&K Health & Medical Education (Gazetted) Service Rules and the JKPSC (Conduct of Examinations) Rules, the Commission has initiated the next phase of the recruitment process. Candidates who have cleared the written test are now required to undergo verification of their original certificates/documents. These documents pertain to age, educational qualifications, internship, registration by MCI/State Medical Council, domicile, category, and disability, if any.

The list of candidates called for verification of documents has been provided in Annexure-B and Annexure-C against notification No. 36-PSC (DR-P) of 2023 dated 03.08.2023 and notification No. 37-PSC (DR-P) of 2023 dated 10.08.2023, respectively. It’s crucial to note that inclusion in these annexures is provisional and solely for the purpose of document verification. It does not guarantee selection, recommendation, or appointment. Final decisions regarding these aspects will be made in accordance with the rules and regulations governing the recruitment process.

Candidates listed in Annexure-B and Annexure-C are advised to prepare their original documents for verification. The schedule for document verification will be notified separately by the Commission. It’s essential for candidates to adhere to the provided schedule and ensure timely submission of their documents for verification. Any delay or failure to comply with the verification process may result in disqualification from further consideration in the recruitment process.

The Commission emphasizes that the selection, recommendation, and appointment of candidates will be strictly in accordance with the prescribed rules and regulations. Additionally, the outcome of any pending writ petitions before Court(s) of Law may also impact the final decision regarding selection and appointment. Therefore, candidates are advised to stay updated with the latest developments and announcements made by the JKPSC regarding this recruitment process.
