JKBOSE Reschedules Annual Exams for Classes 10th, 11th, and 12th

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has announced the rescheduling of annual exams for class 11th in soft zone areas and for classes 10th, 11th, and 12th in hard zone areas. This decision comes following directives from the Joint Chief Electoral Officer of J&K (Jammu) regarding the Lok Sabha Election 2024 schedule, ensuring no clash between exam dates and election dates within the union territory.

According to a notification from the BOSE Director Academics, the rescheduling was prompted by the National Testing Agency’s Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2024, session-2, scheduled from April 4 to 15. The board received numerous representations from students requesting the adjustment of exam dates to avoid conflicts with the entrance examination.

In response to these concerns, JKBOSE has decided to conduct the rescheduled exams for class 11th annual regular 2024 in soft zone areas and annual regular 2024 exams for classes 10th, 11th, and 12th in hard zone areas. These exams will now be held on revised dates, with sessions scheduled for both morning and evening shifts.

The decision aims to alleviate any scheduling conflicts for students and ensure a smooth conduct of examinations amidst the electoral process. By rescheduling exams in accordance with the election schedule and student representations, JKBOSE demonstrates its commitment to addressing student concerns and facilitating their academic pursuits.

Students and educational institutions are advised to take note of the revised examination dates and shifts to make necessary arrangements accordingly.
