Woman dies, husband injured in South Kashmir road accident
In Achabal area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Tuesday afternoon, a tragic road accident claimed the life of a woman and left her husband injured, according to officials.
The incident occurred when a vehicle, with registration number JK03M 5022, collided with Seda Begum and her husband, Ab Ahad Wani, both residents of Khandroo Achabal, at Nowgam Achabal.
Upon impact, both victims were rushed to SDH Hospital Achabal for medical assistance. Unfortunately, Seda Begum, aged 55, succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital. Meanwhile, her husband, Ab Ahad Wani, aged 60, was referred to GMC Anantnag for further treatment.
Local authorities have initiated an investigation into the accident, as police have taken cognizance of the incident. The community mourns the loss of Seda Begum and hopes for the swift recovery of Ab Ahad Wani.
