Extended Winter Break for Jammu’s Summer Zones: DSEJ Decision
In response to harsh winter conditions, the Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) has extended winter vacations for government and private schools in the summer zones until January 19.
The decision, communicated by the Director of School Education Jammu, considers severe cold weather conditions in the region and applies to both government and privately recognized schools in the Jammu division’s summer zones.
Earlier directives had instructed teaching staff to resume duties from January 8. However, during the extended break, Head of Institutions (HOIs) must ensure online classes for students in grades 10 to 12.
The DSEJ emphasizes that any neglect or non-compliance with these guidelines by government or private schools will be addressed seriously and in accordance with the rules. (WD)
