Kulgam 31 Aug: A voter awareness program was held under the banner of the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) initiative at Altaf Memorial Govt Degree College Kilam. The event was organized to encourage greater participation in the upcoming elections and educate voters on the importance of their rights and responsibilities.
The Chief Election Officer, PK Pole, presided over the event, emphasizing the significance of informed voting and the role it plays in strengthening democracy. He was accompanied by the Deputy Commissioner of Kulgam Athar Aamir Khan, along withSSP Kulgam, Sahil Sarangal IPS, Principal Altaf Memorial Govt Degree College Kilam, ADC Viqar Ahmed Giri, ACP, Ms Nazia, other district officers and officials.
Addressing a large gathering of students, staff, and local residents, PK Pole spoke about the need for every eligible voter to exercise their right to vote.
The campaign aligns with SVEEP’s ongoing efforts to promote voter awareness and ensure maximum voter turnout, reflecting the Election Commission’s commitment to a transparent, inclusive, and participatory electoral process.
