One significant approval involves the transfer of 85 Kanals of land to the Industries & Commerce (I&C) Department, J&K, for the development of an Industrial Estate in Redbug, Kupwara. With a projected cost of Rs. 668.25 lacs, the estate aims to generate direct employment opportunities for skilled and unskilled labor while fostering indirect employment avenues for local vendors and youths.

The AC also approved the transfer of 90 Kanals & 10 marlas of land in Zainapora, Shopian, to the School Education Department for setting up a Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV). This initiative is geared towards improving the educational environment, providing better prospects for the future of children.

Addressing disaster preparedness, the council sanctioned the transfer of 568 Kanals of State land in District Samba to the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) for the establishment of a Battalion Headquarters. Given the susceptibility of Jammu and Kashmir to various disaster risks, having a local NDRF presence is deemed crucial for public and national interests.
