Unidentified Male Dead Body Retrieved from River Jhelum in

Tragedy struck in Srinagar on Monday, July 22, when an unidentified male body was retrieved from the river Jhelum.

The body was found near the Pantha Chowk area of Central Kashmir in the Srinagar district.

According to an official, the body was retrieved by the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) from the river Jhelum.

The official informed the Kashmir Scroll news agency about the retrieval of the body.

After retrieval, the body was handed over to the police for further necessary formalities.

The identification of the deceased is currently being ascertained, according to the official.

The police have taken cognizance of the matter and have started an investigation into the incident.
