Two Persons Shot in Srinagar, Resulting in One Fatality
Srinagar, February 7 (WD): In the Karfali Mohalla ShalKadal area of Srinagar district on Wednesday evening, suspected militants shot and killed one person while injuring another.
According to a senior police officer, militants fired at close range on two individuals this evening. One of the victims succumbed to injuries on the spot, while the other has been shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, the entire area has been cordoned off to apprehend the attackers.
According to initial reports, one victim has been identified as Amritpal Singh (deceased) from Amritsar, while the other has been identified as Rohit, who is admitted to SMHS. Both are reported to be non-locals.
